Rings are sized differently around the world. The United States and Canada use numbers; the United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand use letters. Find your size in any of the columns below – the millimetres are the same everywhere.
The easiest way: measure a ring you already wear
Take a ring that fits the finger you have in mind. Measure the inside, from edge to edge, in millimetres. That is the diameter – find it in the table.
No ring at hand? Use a strip of paper
- Wrap a thin strip of paper or string around the base of your finger.
- Mark where the ends meet.
- Lay it flat and measure the length in millimetres. That is the circumference – find it in the table.
Good to know
- Measure at the end of the day, when your hands are warm – fingers are slightly larger then.
- If your knuckle is larger than the base of your finger, measure the knuckle: the ring has to slide over it.
- Between two sizes? Choose the larger one.
- For wide bands, go half a size up.
